"Love is patient,
love is kind.
It does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easliy angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects,
always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails."
1 Cor 13:4-8

"Ideal love is fostered only between two sincere, mature and independent people.
It is the inner struggle to polish these attributes that is the key. Real love is not two people clinging to each other; it can only be fostered between two strong people secure in their individuality."
-Ikeda Sensei, Wisdom of Words

will u.. or u won't?

today i was approached by an auntie as she needed to call her son to tell him that she forgot the house keys, but her hp was low-batt.
At that very moment, i was thinking, should i lend her my phone?
It sets me thinking,
are we all suspicious towards every other being's nature?
Will we act out of selflessness?
Do we consider with regards to gender too?
Two scenrios came into my mind as i questioned myself if i should lend her my phone.
Firstly,
if i don't lend her, the auntie may not be able to get home. Also, i'll seemed selfish.

Secondly,
if i lend it to her, she'll be able to get home. But, that question popped out... what if... what if she runs away with my phone?

A typical scenrio happening in every day of our lives.
How will u act if someone ask u for the usage of your phone?
Will u disregard the possibility of your phone being "stolen" by the person?

In the end,
I decided to lend the auntie my phone.
And, yes, she was able to get home..
I'm happy, because i think i've done a good deed at the expanse of that possibility. :)
