"Love is patient,
love is kind.
It does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easliy angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects,
always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails."
1 Cor 13:4-8

"Ideal love is fostered only between two sincere, mature and independent people.
It is the inner struggle to polish these attributes that is the key. Real love is not two people clinging to each other; it can only be fostered between two strong people secure in their individuality."
-Ikeda Sensei, Wisdom of Words

resolutions for the new year - 2005

How often do we make and keep the resolutions?
I make them every year, but not all are achieved. haha.
Maybe caz some of the resolutions are not practical.
Never set a target too high that it cannot be achieved...

Well, i guess it doesn't feel like a brand new year without some resolutions!

Resolutions..
1. Shed some fats! Target weight= 40kg
2. Aim not to da-pao any more subjects for the next semester. Target grades= pass all!
3. Spend more time with family and friends.
4. Be more understanding, less sensitive..

Well, i guess all of us want to live well and happy. So, hope 2005 will be a wonderful year too! :)

tsunami..

When i see the news about the tidal waves disaster on tv, i feel so disturbed.
Looking at the bloated dead bodies everywhere from young to old, it is just so so sad.

Why do such things happen? I mean, shouldn't there be mercy on humanity?
Did these people make any wrong-doings that they deserve such disaster
to occur upon them?

I always believe that things happen for a reason.
This could be a hint that the global environment is indeed changing for the worst.
This may like happen once in 50 years, but we never know what lays in the future..

Well,
May all those who are missing return. and,
for those who perish, may they rest in peace.

steamboat @ cab's place...

We had a steamboat dinner at cab's place on Friday! It was great, albeit the amount of food we bought. Lots of mushrooms, the balls (pork and beef), chicken, fish, beef slices, prawns, cabbage, the greens, yong-tau-fu, fishcakes, hotdogs and 0ur dessert was ICE CREAM and Ruffles! hehe. We had fun shopping for these groceries at NTUC fairprice. Choosing the right fish to the cheap balls, so much fun!
Took pictures, played mahjong.. and we exchanged our presents!
I love receiving presents, and i love all of them! Thanks cabbie, audrey and jieying! Love u gers! :D

Hope audrey emails us the pictures real soon! So that we can all post it and also, put it as our MSN display picture! :D

third post of the day!
Life of an orange...

Just a thought, have u ever ponder.... why is everyone living such a different life? Will u choose a life that is so pre-occupied with activities that sometimes u do not even have adequate time for the people around u, or simply just have a life that u can do whatever u want, without bothering if it'll clash with any other activities?

I dunnoe what i want though.
But i guess, I want something different at every part of my life. A bit greedy, but i guess it makes my life more fulfilling. But what is difficult is that, i have to make sacrifices. like.. 2 hours spent training in hall, when u can actually use that 2 hours to meet dear or friends! It is tough, sometimes, so much so that I cannot stand all these arrangements where everything has to be scheduled and planned. Like 5-7pm i have to be at this place.. then 8-10pm i have to do something else.

Ever since entering university life,
It feels like a life on an organizer. Days/dates/time slots/important events to take note of.
It sort of irritated me, "these" much!
haha, as i flipped through my organizer earlier to sort the dates of the inter-hall games out, i was so shocked by my timetable. It looks packed and busy, it looks so squeezed!
It makes me feel like an freshly-peeled orange which its juices are all squeezed out!
Drained~

Now with GE exam coming up, i think that freshly-peeled orange has become dried orange skin. With no added preservatives, caz... it is so bland! :(

quiz taken from shannon's post

Saw this quiz from shannon's blog and thought it'll be quite fun to play with it. So this is the result.. It says I am a loyalist and my number is 6!
You Are the Loyalist
6

You have strong relationships and are intensely loyal.
People find you easy to love and care for.
You like your world to be stable and secure, no surprises.
You're cautious. You prefer your inner circle to the outside world.

What number are you?

hmm, to me, i think all of the above are quite true. Almost 99% accurate. But i still like to have some surprises in life. It makes living more exciting and interesting! :)

Oh, i just registered my subjects for the next semester. Phy1 was taken out, so for the next semester, i'll be taking 7 modules. Must work very hard. Because i can foresee amounting challenges ahead (esp computing, phy2... )

As for now, i need to prepare my GE-Business Finance exam which is on 23 Dec.
Good luck to me! :D

i got an E for it!
Somehow i was quite prepared to da-pao this subject, but when reality checks in, i just felt really down. For next semester, i have 8 modules to take. Very tiring! :(
Hope things go a bit better next semester!

nice friendly with NP!

Today had a friendly with the canoe polo team of NP ( yesh, that includes dear! ). It was great, especially the experience from the games. Also, learnt a few lessons and tactics from these games too. Hope i get to play more from friendlies with other schools next time. I think it's a better way to learn the game, that is, playing with other people not from the same team is more exciting and one can grasp the game better too! hehe.

But i didnt manage to see Dear play his games, caz everytime he is in the game, i'll be having a debrief with the girls. But i'm still proud of my baby! He leads his team well! Oh, dear observed me for awhile when i was playing. hehe. i'm happy! Although i'm not very good in the game yet, but at least i think i am making some improvements, especially in my zoning. But i need more practises in throwing and dribbling forward! Need to open my eyes wider and SEE where the team is! Danger lurks everywhere in the game area. Need to open my eyes and observe the Ball better! :

Hmm, just came back from supper with the team after training. A senior was driving and i really enjoyed the feeling of being drived around. it feels so... hmm... convenient? hahar!

Today, we are supposed to know our exam results. I'm quite excited about it! Haha, my first exams for uni. I wonder how it'll turn out. :D
At least, now i know my econs grade- B ! and i am very satisfied with it! :D

in tertiary life, shouldn't people be more initiative and spontaneous?
I mean training days are set and you should know when are the trainings. I just find it so amusing and at the same time, irritating that some people have no idea what is going on when notices are put up and reminders were given to them.

And now, the diarrhea is irritating me! :(

Happy 29th month together, baby!

29 months together may not be a very long period, but every moment spent together is very precious to me.
There may be ups and downs, but the sad events made our love even stronger,
and the happy ones made us a better couple.
It takes effort and our love to bring us to this far and I appreciate everything that you had done for me.
Being so patient and understanding, you are simply the best boyfriend, soulmate and friend.
The love we shared is the greatest, and i hope this feeling continues and never fades.
These past months had been really amazing and i believe that they will get more exciting and even more special!

Thank you baby for loving me as much as I'm loving you. *hugs*
I Love You!

shopping and shopping for presents

After BF and project meeting, i went to town to shop for presents for the 3 lovely ladies. Managed to get all the things, but i'm not sure if they'll like it! hahar, but i like them! So, the chances of them not liking the presents are very low, i hope!

Then, i was early for the meet-up with the CJ friends. So, i went around Forever21 to take a look at the clothes. And yes, they really do change their stocks like almost every other day! ok, probably every 3 days! Won't they like stock up their inventory if they keep changing stock?
Haha, so then i saw this short denim skirt! Looks very nice, and I was very tempted! So went to the fitting room. Da-daa! i bought it! hehe. It was $38, not very expensive ya? Decided to get it and a black cotton belt! haha. I'm happy! :D

ok, the dinner with CJ friends! Hmm, we ordered 3 11-inch pizzas @ this Pizza place at wisma atria. Ooo, the pizzas were fantastic. The crust is not very filling, which is very good! Then we chit-chatted, talk rubbish, gossipped here and there. haha! It has been some time since we met up. Sadly, only a few turned up. But it was quite fun still! :)

Now, i'm back in hall. And my stomach has not been feeling comfortable since this morning. Must be the chicken permesan bread i ate in the morning for breakfast.. urgh! :(

back from training, back in hall...

my body is aching, i need motivation to have the strength to carry on this GAME. This is one sport that requires alot of practices, motivation and encouragement. It's so difficult to carry on. Every one has their peaks and troughs in life. It depends all on an individual to decide how one wants to look at it, either an optimistic or a pessimistic point of view.
But it is tough, not everyone has a positive mindset. Even if so, there will be a moment when that supposedly mind-strong individual will have a breakdown mentally and even so, physically.

I shall pick myself up once again and try to find that bright light in me. With the guiding light, i hope to find strength and a direction in vision.
But, i know this is not enough, i need more practical visions.. like.. practising even harder. I'm not as good, it means.. i have to be twice as hardworking as the others. With that, hopefully, i can match up the standards of the others.
Hopefully, time is on my side...

---- tired out -----
