"Love is patient,
love is kind.
It does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easliy angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects,
always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails."
1 Cor 13:4-8

"Ideal love is fostered only between two sincere, mature and independent people.
It is the inner struggle to polish these attributes that is the key. Real love is not two people clinging to each other; it can only be fostered between two strong people secure in their individuality."
-Ikeda Sensei, Wisdom of Words

the end of Jan..

Time flies, and another month had gone by in a breeze.
It had been a hectic and fully scheduled month. As Jan ends, Feb approaches.
Chinese New Year and romantic Valentine's Day are all coming along..
How prepared are u guys for these two occasions?
I have no idea what to get for my valentine. Oh no.. hehe!
Well, as for cny, i'm awaiting with much anticipation.
Like, how much red-packet money, what activities planned, what to wear, what to eat, what to drink, gamble/not to gamble...
haha. CNY is a time where everyone in the family come together to celebrate with much joy and welcome the new lunar year.
Everyone wishes everyone else fortune and happiness.
But, what do u, yourself wish for?
I wish for...
peace!

:D

am i real?

i realised that i am always in a position that things never happen at the appropriate time.
is it my fault or is it just my destiny?
should i let it be or make amends?
Things happening around made me feel insignificant.
I may be thinking the wrong way again, but, it can't be helped.
Things actually happened. I can't just forget about them.
It just set me pondering if i am still me...

i'm still passionate about canoepolo.
But never having more chances to participate in more games really made me feel lousy.
dropping/sacrificing me - do dey mean what they say?
yae yae, i'm still new/the most junior..
i guess the only thing i can do is improve more on my skills.
hope i still have that adequate "passion" to stay on.

I really hope this year will turn out to be better.
Birthday's around the corner( yeap, bdae on cny's eve )..
Wish that every thing around me turns out for the better after my 20th birthday.
Superstitious or whatsoever, i just wish i have more luck. :)

Road Relay (16Jan)

Finally, IHG-Road Relay was ran and over with on Sun-16 Jan!
No more disgusting upslopes training!
As the manager of this event for my hall, i admit that i didn't try to make it more efficient as possible. But i tried. Some good runners just never want to attempt to run for the hall. What can i do yae? I never like forcing people to do things that they never want to.
I really appreciate all my runners for attending most of the trainings, and always giving their best effort in their runs. I was so touched yesterday, seeing them sweating it out for the hall.
We may not be as good as other halls. I can say that we are all winners. Caz i know that everyone had put in their best effort to conquer this challenging run. I am so proud of them!
As for my run, probably i should have pushed myself a bit harder. But it was difficult, there was no runners infront of me to gauge my speed. I didn't even know if i was in a good position of the run or not. But in the end, i managed to run pass 1 girl from another hall. That felt amazing! :P
Ah gim was there too! She was so sweet to pass me a drink after my run.
She is still my best partner! :)

canoe polo...

The competitions last weekend were an eye-opener! The past two years, i was just a spectator knowing nothing much about the game. But just sit at the stands and watch dear's games. But this time round, knowing that u belong to a team and then u know the game even better, it felt just great! Even though it was very tiring to watch all the games and keeping the scores, i guess through that, i learnt the different tactics and dos&don'ts.
For our first match, we won the NP junior girls. Can't remember the score. But i guess we played a bit better than them! Probably caz we were more confident with shooting and stuff. Great job girls! Hmm, for the second match, i played a little. It was against the strongest girls team-Red Tide Ladies. They are like guys lar. It was a thrashing game. Full pressing on us, we can hardly even pull away from them! And, I blocked a ball brillantly! It felt amazing blocking that ball lar! Haha!
We might have lost that match, but i guess the girls never gave up hope.
Caz in the later match, they won the NUS main team! Brillant work!
Out of three games, we won two! :)
Although i never get to play much, it was alright. Caz i felt i had learnt quite a few lessons!

Loving canoe-polo!!

retardness

How do u know that u are retarded?
In my definition, i think when it seems that everything that u have done is
not right/sensible to other people.. u could be facing retardness!

i think i am.

yummy sushi!

Met up with Cabbie, Norman, Audrey for dinner @ Sakae @ Bugis on Sat. Hehe, dear was with me! Had a very nice dinner, mouth full of nice sushi! *drooling* i love sushi!!! Enough of food, we went to Bugis village, apparently to walk around while waiting for the movie - the Aviator @ 1130pm. So, we did some shopping! I bought a gypsy-alike spaghetti top. I like it! So gonna wear it on Fri when i go out with dear after school! hehe! Audrey was our "bugis village tour guide". She knows the best deals!
Gers, great meet-up!
Enjoyed the cold jokes and laughters! haha. Aud, u better get ur butt on the coffee-maker! :P

Oh, that day was our 30th month together! We don't really celebrate, but to have each other's accompany is more than adequate. :)
I love u, baby! *hugs*

25% MOODY

Results: It is not easy that you would be out of control with your temper.Even if somethings made u mad or sad, so long as it is not too far out of your limit, you can control yourself. However, once your limit is crossed, you might explode and forget who you are. You have strong self control. From another angle, you only allow your true self to come out in front of a few selective people; which means your might get into a fight with a loved one or close friend more often because of your personality.

Haha, took this quiz off Audrey's post. Hey ger, we have the same level of moodiness!
Well, to certain extent, this quiz is pretty accurate. Sometimes i cannot control my temper, and it often shows only when i'm with my closed and loved ones. Hmm, with friends, i hardly show my temper. Strong self-control of my temper? hmm, probably.
Conclusion: take this test! :D

countdown to New Year-2005

I went along with dear and his friends to a house-warming at Braddell Rd. All i can say is that the house is magnificant. A house that is like almost everyone's dream house! Envious, jealous, shocking.. mix of emotions! Well, they have this karaoke room and spotlights that glows like stars on the ceiling. oh my god, the lights really blend nice together. And, the karaoke system.. hmm, they have the system almost similar to those at k-box! Almost all the songs are in there, all for u to choose and pick! haha, that's why we were in there most of the time! hehe.
The food was great too. How often do u have a buffet with a CITY SATAY-man??!! maybe it's just me, but i was quite shocked to see the satayman doing the satay lar! hahar! I sound so ignorant! Well, i am not a rich man's daughter.. that explains why! hehe.

Well, then for the countdown...
Headed to the Esplanade with dear. Although there were no fireworks on that day, the crowd was still quite a big group to handle. It was supposed to be jazzy and romantic but instead, i saw alot of "Weird" people around. Hehe. Dear was with me, that IS sweet enough! hehe.
After the countdown, we headed to Marina Square for our midnight movie- Meet the Fockers!
Well, this movie.. i'll rate it 4 out of 5 popcorns! It was hilarious, as good as the previous, Meet the Parents. But the father of his fiance was irritating lar! Stupid circle of trust and exaggerating babies' inventions! hahar. Well, the baby in the show is so cute! A very good movie! U guys should go and catch it!

well, i need to get sleep and get ready for the NEW SEMESTER!
Happy New Year to all!
CHEERS!
