"Love is patient,
love is kind.
It does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easliy angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects,
always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails."
1 Cor 13:4-8

"Ideal love is fostered only between two sincere, mature and independent people.
It is the inner struggle to polish these attributes that is the key. Real love is not two people clinging to each other; it can only be fostered between two strong people secure in their individuality."
-Ikeda Sensei, Wisdom of Words

wrap it up!

end of aug is approaching!
time really flies this time round.
i hardly have time to sit down and relax.
ok i am amplifying things here.

i should say that i just didnt have a good time management.
tried handling things in a proper manner but it will just go off track soon after.
what a letdown.

hands are tight with so many assignments.
i have 4 assignments, but i am done with one already!
the other 3 are madness.
so many self-readings to do.
back to the library and zap zap zap!

someone asked me,
how did u get thru year 2?
you must had really like the modules to get through it.
that's true.
if not for passion, you'll have a difficult time to get by it.

now in year 3..
one got to love it better.
if not, how can one read so much articles about one particular subject?

so peeps,
learn to love what u have to do even if it is mundane or tough.
keep it going!

on a lighter note,
i caught 'the break up' with dear.
it is like a 'true' story for most couples.
Cause quarrels do happen when communication breaks down.
as the movie went along,
the big word "appreciative" kept on ringing in my mind.
i was wondering,
have i taken most of the things for granted?
or, have i taken u for granted?

i do appreciate what u have done for me.
the effort in our relationship. the time. the money. the love.
but ya, actions speak louder than words.

u know baby,
i love u!

here is a big KISS for you!
*MUACKS*

emotions upside down

Yae, my long-awaited birkis is here!
I got myself a pair of Gizeh Silver sandals.
Very happy indeed. :)

Went to find my academic counsellor in school today.
Discussed about my results for the past 2 years & if i'm on my way to a good honours.
I'm a student with average of B grades.
You might think it's good enough to secure a proper Honours.
But,
to my mistake & ignorance, that is not even near.

To smell that 2nd upper,
i have to work very hard & diligently for year 3 & 4.
Which means I need LOTS of As for my core modules.

It's going to be so tough.
With tuition & part-time job, coupled with demanding modules,
all I can say is ... i have to be consistent!
But I am happy on a side-note.
I'm doing my final module for my minor in business!
So in year 4,
I don't have to worry about my biz modules & I can concentrate on my specialization electives.
This final module is going to be an heavy load off my shoulder.
But time is still early,
wait till I pass the paper.

Harsh fact of life:
for an engineering degree, 2nd upper is a bare minimum to secure a good payroll.

i've always keep this in mind so that i won't wander off and think of other options.
In JC, i didn't put in effort for my A's because there is poly to re-route.
But now, it is like a do-or-die scenario.

I better wake up!

relationship: ups & downs

being in a relationship, there's always ups and downs.
no doubt we'll have misunderstandings & quarrels,
these helped to strengthen our bond.

sometimes i may be insensitive,
but i really care about our special bond together.
actions speak louder than words.

i need to think twice before saying anything.
sometimes i sound & act dumb,
but you know i really care about us.

these 4 years, i have given you much downs.
as a couple,
we shouldn't add on to each other's problems.

everyone strives to be a better being.
so do i.
to be a better gf.

*hugs*

fireworks: surprises & more surprises

display of fireworks are works of art.
electrical sparkles that lit up the sky with mystical movements.
they dance in the shadow of the moon.
and,
our eyes sparkle with its displays.

the masterpiece would be the star-dust collection.

profoundly beautiful!

click: rollercoaster ride

it was a great movie.
gave me a great deal of emotional rides.
it talked about controlling your life with an universal remote controller.
muting the words that you do not want to hear.
paused to stop whatever is happening so that you can do some revenge or sweet-nothings.
fast-forward events so that you don't waste time and see what's in the future for you and stop all the waiting.

it sounds so familiar.
how often we wished that life will move on faster so we can skip the waiting and hassle.

this movie is such a wake-up call.
it reminds people that in reality we have to take charge of our lives.
by taking short-cuts, we may reach our destination faster.
but, we'll miss out on much smaller details.

take things slow.
prioritise your stuff.
be it loved ones or friends, relationships should not be taken for granted.

be glad and appreciative.

smallest toes.

she is a monster.
yes.
omg. and i'm actually sleeping beside her at night.

freaky!

civic-mindedness

everyone is taking the cleaners for granted.
the aunties and uncles are having a tough time cleaning up the lobbies of hdb blocks.

there are times that i head home
and i really can't stand the sight of trash thrown around the bin.
can't people be more civic-minded and throw the trash in a more proper manner?
if by dumping it on the ground is an convenience for u,
it doesn't mean it'll be for the cleaners.

we are all part of the neighbourhood,
and
we have a part to play in keeping our areas clean.

even if you are an ah pek or ah soh,
i can't forgive u either.
being an mature adult equates to one being responsible!

despite all the callings by the officials,
nobody seemed to bother.

they will only start to regret when the smell lingers up to their own apartment.
i feel so disappointed.

i mean, we are all people with common sense.
in what way is it an appropriate thing to do by dumping trash on the ground?!

please be more considerate.

if not, hdb is like.. third class environment.

sunny & slacky day!

spent a wonderful day under the sun with dear. i enjoy slacking the day, especially with dear. sun-bathed at the most-southern-point-of-asia. (for real?) it was perfect weather, windy & sunny. oh, it's like our first time crossing this bridge. i was taken aback by the sturdiness. over at the beach, there was lesser people compared to siloso & palawan, which was fantastic! then i won't feel so embarrassed flashing those fats of mine.

so.. where can u go to bask in the sun over the weekend? it has got to be sentosa. despite the high influx of freshies and their ogs and tourists, there's always some space for the locals and couples. i love the couple picture above. it looks like we just started dating! sweet romance!

(nice man-made beach we've got there.)

(i was trying to snap an artistic shot. and, i thought it was a pretty good job.)

oh! there's koufu foodcourt where you can always have a round of dessert after a couple of hours of sun-bathing. i had ice jelly! simply delicious! looking around, sentosa is undergoing a major re-vamp, and she looks like the getaway place everyone is seeking. The wide-selection of food & bars (affordable to expensive) & accessibility. i'm quite surprised with what they offered at sentosa these days. how nice of the managment.

(the ice jelly rocks the day!)

wouldn't it be nice if we could stay there the whole day? i don't want to leave!

can't wait to go back there & have more fun!

1st August

i got myself gym gloves and hand-held weights.
how far can i go?

never question your abilities.
but never underestimate your determination.

i lack the big D.
gosh.
that's a great deal of work!

To add,
i just had a Snickers bar with Almonds.
absolutely delicious...
every bite is carefully tasted.
Cause, that's my last chocolate bar for August!
