"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easliy angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." 1 Cor 13:4-8 "Ideal love is fostered only between two sincere, mature and independent people. It is the inner struggle to polish these attributes that is the key. Real love is not two people clinging to each other; it can only be fostered between two strong people secure in their individuality." -Ikeda Sensei, Wisdom of Words Archives December 2003 January 2004 February 2004 March 2004 April 2004 May 2004 June 2004 July 2004 August 2004 September 2004 October 2004 November 2004 December 2004 January 2005 February 2005 March 2005 April 2005 May 2005 June 2005 July 2005 August 2005 September 2005 October 2005 November 2005 December 2005 January 2006 February 2006 March 2006 April 2006 May 2006 June 2006 July 2006 August 2006 September 2006 October 2006 December 2006 January 2007 February 2007 March 2007 April 2007 May 2007 June 2007 July 2007 August 2007 September 2007 October 2007 November 2007 December 2007 January 2008 March 2008 April 2008 May 2008 June 2008 July 2008 August 2008 September 2008 January 2009 June 2009 |
My 22nd hatchday! I bumped into my senior and he asked, "How old are you?" And, I actually replied... "oh, i'm 21!" A few seconds later, I was like.. "Oopz, I just turned 22.. but hey, i'm forever 21!" Not like I love that shopping label like a fanatic, but, a lady is a lady. Who will want to admit that she has past 21 already? Well, not everything is that bad! I had a couple of celebrations with family and friends. First, I treated my relatives at my granny's place to pizza! Got a swenson's ice-cream cake and ang-paos! :) My two lil' cousins were so adorable when they wanted to blow out the candles for me. One teared because he thought he didn't manage to blow them off! But all sadness and tears were gone when they had ice-cream cake to eat! Next, on my actual birthday, I celebrated with the lovely girls @ grapevines! Thanks gals, for making the time to spend it with me. It was more like a dinner gathering (after x'mas), which was great! I love the presents and not forgetting, the gossips & talks & laughters & pictures! Third celebration was with dear @ Clarke Quay for my 22nd and our 55th together! We had a fishy dinner at Fishermen Wharf. I wanted to bring dear to Riccotti for desserts (they have it half-price after 9pm). Since it was pretty early still, we went to the new mall to look around. I was, probably, the happiest girl that evening. While waiting for dear to arrive at Clarke Quay, I was wasting time at the new mall. At the entrance of the mall, I saw this group of girls who are super excited. So, I thought, what's going on? To my surprise, I saw 'xiao-zhu' walking out of the entrance with bodyguards. Ah, he looked really good with his shades, leather vest and t-shirt. The television screen has done him wrong! :P The next time that made me happy was the dress I got from this vintage shop at the mall. It was a good buy and I love the dress so much! The design fits exactly what I was searching for. After all the walking, we went to Ricotti for dessert. The chocolate melts and the tiramisu oozes nicely in the mouth. Probably that's what gourmets described as 'orgasmic food'... :P After dessert, met up with eden & kat. They were really sweet to celebrate for me by treating us drinks at Forbidden City. I love the sleazy & emperor design. It was cool to just relax and drink and chill out with friends. The day ended by the singapore river where we chit-chatted and took pictures. Thanks dear for the watch and dinner+dessert! The final one was with my coursemates from NTU. They ordered a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice-cream for me as a representation of my bdae cake. This bunch of people are a crazy lot with lots of jokes. That night was full of laughters and stomach-cramps. Thank you all for the present (i love shopping w/0 guilt) & the card! One belated celebration will be with the noisy gang of canoeing pals. I haven't make any arrangement yet because it was like v-day & now, cny. So guys, let me know when u all are free! Probably a lunch/dinner together or gathering @ someone's place! Pictures are worth a hundred words.. so, the slide-show below will somehow wrap up everything! Who says turning 22 is a dreadful event? :D Labels: occasions :: dawn tan :: at 11:45 PM |
